Mary Jo Foley has written about a product from Microsoft code-named Quattro. It is interesting how the other day I was thinking about some of the challenges of bringing technology into the home especially around the storage of media and providing common services and how some people are completely out of their depth in trying to set it up.

Apparently Quattro is a home version of Windows Server. I think it is a good idea, specially if OEMs come to the party with high storage capacity solutions that you just plug in. Maybe even distributed by the telcos as part of a bringing a house online service.

I never thought I would see the day when Adam Cogan writes a blog post and puts it out there ona blog. Frank Arrigo has managed to recruit all the Microsoft Regional Directors into being the guest bloggers on TechTalkBlogs (yeah yeah, I am a bit slow on reporting the news – bite me). Personally I think it is fanastic that Adam is blogging because he actually has a lot of very insightful things to say that go way beyond what he captures in his lists.

So what is blog fodder for the RD’s at the moment? Well they all seem to be talking about their new Zunes, I have to say that I am envious, I really want one of these – especially a brown one (seriously – I think it is the best looking one, goes with the furniture). I’ve entered the Atomic magazine competition so time will tell whether enough people entered to dillute my odds of winning!
